I grew up getting the weather from a few sources… 1) this crazy thing called a thermometer we had on the front porch. 2) Morning radio programs (back in the 80s when music and DJs were good). 3) JAM-JAM-1: a phone number we used to ring in Memphis TN that would give the date, time and weather, brought to you by a different local sponsor each month.
In modern times, an effort to determine the weather involves broadcasting yourself across several marketing profile services and collecting literally countless advertisements, popups and trackers.
